The #CedefopVideoAward is a competition organized by Cedefop, the European Center for the Development of Vocational Training (www.cedefop.europa.eu), based in Thessaloniki, Greece, with the aim of promoting excellence in vocational education and training (VET) throughout the European Union and beyond. The competition for 2023 is part of the activities of the European Year of Skills, and it is with great pleasure that we invite students of vocational education and training in Croatia to contribute to the promotion of the European Year of Skills with their participation.
The competition is exclusively intended for teams of participants in vocational education and training (initial vocational training or permanent vocational training later in life) in the European Union, Iceland and Norway. Each team is expected to produce a video clip of no more than 60 seconds with a clear message about the “European Year of Skills: Share your skills!” and an accompanying description of no more than 100 words.
The competition aims to encourage participants across Europe to think about what the skills they have acquired in training and projects mean to them and what they have achieved during their learning experience. Stories are wanted across all skills, including green and digital, which are increasingly part of a wide range of traditional and new occupations linked to VET.
The contest is open from October 19, 2023, and the deadline for entries is December 15 at 11:59 p.m. The two best video works will be shown at the International Documentary Film Festival in Thessaloniki in March 2024.
