In order to promote European Skills Week 2020, The European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (CEDEFOP) is organising #CedefopPhotoAward, which aims to endorse the excellence in VET. The deadline has been extended to 15 September 2020.
Illustrate your photo with a video
Teams of up to four VET learners in the European Union, Norway and Iceland can compete. Individual entries will not be taken into consideration. Each team is expected to create an original photostory on the topic of “Vocational education and training: your green or digital skills story”, containing four or five photographs and accompanied by a narrative of up to 100 words. This year, for the first time, the competitors have been given opportunity to further illustrate the photostory with a short video clip (up to 60 seconds).
Great prizes
The two most successful teams will be participating in European Skills Week 2020 (Berlin, November 2020), as finalists nominated for the main prize, which will be presented by Nicolas Schmit, European Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights. The special #CedefopPhotoAward, the so-called “Prix du Jury” will be presented to the third ranking team during the Thessaloniki International Film Festival, held in November 2020.
Champion team members will win Interrail tickets for a five-day journey through thirty-three European countries. In the global health situation does not allow for international travel, the award will be presented next year.

Further info and competition rules can be found on Cedefop website and social networks (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Youtube). Entries must be submitted online via the following link.
The School of Economics and Tourism Daruvar was a finalist in the last year’s #CedefopPhotoAward competition, and finally placed second.
Proposal for excellence
A reminder that you can still submit your application for the awards for excellence in vocational education and training. This year, if possible (depending on the award category), a bonus will be awarded to the projects/activities in accordance with one of the European Commission priorities for 2019—2024: European Green Deal or A Europe Fit for Digital Age.
