The Agency for VET and Adult Education is organizing The Conference for Directors of Secondary Vocational Schools. This year, the conference will take place from the 11th to the 13th of September in Novi Vinodolski, Croatia. The conference will be officially opened by the Minister of Science and Education, Radovan Fuchs, PhD.

This marks the seventh time that the Agency is organizing this important event with the aim of bringing together directors of secondary vocational schools for the continuous improvement of their professional competencies. The event is organized as part of the ESF project Modernization of the Vocational Education and Training System.

The conference will gather more than 200 participants, including directors and experts from vocational education in Croatia and abroad. Furthermore, important issues and challenges that vocational schools face in today’s dynamic educational environment will be addressed. In addition, the achieved results within the ESF project Modernization of the Vocational Education and Training System, with a significant focus on proposals for a modern modular vocational curriculum will be demonstrated. Hence, the OECD publication Education at a Glance 2023 will be publicly presented, including data on Croatia for the first time.
