Successfully Concluded: The Sixth National Vocational Skills Competition – WorldSkills Croatia 2025

The sixth National Vocational Skills Competition – WorldSkills Croatia 2025 – was officially closed in Zagreb with a closing ceremony and medal presentation in front of more than 1,000 participants.

Organized by the Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education (ASOO), the largest educational event in the Republic of Croatia and the biggest vocational competition in this part of Europe took place from 9 April to 11, 2025. This year, it brought together over 400 of the best students from across Croatia, who competed in 44 disciplines, supported by 380 mentors and 258 members of the Organizing Committee.

Over the course of three days, six pavilions of the Zagreb Fair (Zagrebački velesajam) were transformed into an impressive space of knowledge, skills, innovation, and enthusiasm. The event was visited by more than 12,000 visitors, including approximately 8,000 primary school students who were brought to the competition by the Agency to learn about the opportunities offered by vocational education. As part of the event, career orientation workshops were held for them with more than 45 sessions, along with 7 lectures by the Croatian Employment Service. A special feature again this year was the WorldSkills Croatia Arena, which hosted as many as 27 lectures on topics such as education, innovation, STEM, technology, and the future of vocational professions.

A total of 147 vocational schools participated, with 31 schools acting as competition hosts. The competition was supported by 40 partners from the economy, education, and various institutions. The scale of the event is further illustrated by the following figures: 6 pavilions, 15,000 m² of exhibition space, 147 vocational and 196 primary schools, and organized transport involving 241 buses.

The event also had a strong international dimension, featuring 18 international competitors from 13 countries, as well as foreign guests from 4 additional countries, which further enriched the exchange of knowledge and experience.

We would like to thank all the competitors, mentors, schools, partners, and visitors for their contribution and participation.

The competition results have been published on the official WorldSkills Croatia website: www.worldskillscroatia.hr. Official photos are available on the WSC Flickr account:
