Presentation of sector profile – analytical basis for harmonization of labour market needs and training provision

 Ministry of Education, Science and Sports and Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education, with the support of the IPA project Strengthening of institutional framework for development of VET occupational standards, qualifications and curricula, are organizing a Presentation of sector profile – analytical basis for harmonization of labour marked needs and training provision.
Objective of the presentation is to present use of sector profiles in the development of training provision adjusted to the needs and demands of the labour market to the representatives of Ministry, agencies and other stakeholders in education sector, expert and wider public and media representatives.
Sector profiles, developed by local and international experts and  through cooperation of the Agency and the IPA Project, are innovative tools that combine macroeconomic indicators and data from the survey on employers ‘ needs for competences and therefore allow for better informed and more relevant planning of the educational system development  and creation of education policies.  
Presentation shall take place on Tuesday, 15 November 2011, in the premises of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports, Donje Svetice 38, Zagreb.
