{"id":847,"date":"2023-02-02T15:30:31","date_gmt":"2023-02-02T14:30:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.asoo.hr\/en\/?p=847"},"modified":"2024-01-26T15:36:13","modified_gmt":"2024-01-26T14:36:13","slug":"the-11th-international-andragogic-symposium","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.asoo.hr\/en\/2023\/02\/02\/the-11th-international-andragogic-symposium\/","title":{"rendered":"The 11th International Andragogic Symposium"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Agency for VET and Adult Education once again organised the 11th International Andragogic Symposium (22 February \u2013 24 February 2020).<\/p>\n<p>The symposium was organized as part of the ESF project <strong>&#8220;Promotion of Lifelong Learning Phase II, Element 2: Strengthening the Competencies of Educational Staff in Adult Education Institutions&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s symposium was focused on current topics related to adult education. Renowned adult education experts informed the participants about developments in the field of adult education, shared their practical experiences, and enabled participants to acquire new andragogic knowledge and skills to further enhance the adult education system.<\/p>\n<p>The topics of this year&#8217;s symposium included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>external evaluation of adult education institutions as an important element of the quality assurance system in adult education,<\/li>\n<li>implementation of new regulations in adult education,<\/li>\n<li>development of qualification standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Following the introduction, given by the Agency\u2019s director, Mr Mile \u017div\u010di\u0107\u00a0 and the head of the Sector for Secondary Education and Adult Education at the Ministry of Science and Education, Mrs Ivana Pilko \u010cun\u010di\u0107 this year&#8217;s symposium was officially opened. \u00a0Topic<strong> &#8220;Adult Education Model in Rural Areas \u2013 An example from France&#8221; <\/strong>was presented by director of the French Pedagogical and Resource Center Mr Philippe Ristord. Symposium participants also had the opportunity to hear plenary presentation held by Mrs Ivana Pilko \u010cun\u010di\u0107 from the Ministry of Science and Education, discussing the implementation of new regulations in adult education. Director of \u00a0People\u2019s Open University Vara\u017edin, Mrs Lana Velimirovi\u0107 Vukalovi\u0107 gave a presentation on the topic of <strong>&#8220;Establishment of a Quality System from the Perspective of an Adult Education Institution&#8221;<\/strong>. Employees of the Agency for VET and Adult Education, Mr Ognjen Piljek \u017diljak and Mrs Antonija Merd\u017ean gave a lecture on <strong>&#8220;External Evaluation in Adult Education&#8221;<\/strong>, while Mr Mario Vu\u010di\u0107 and Mrs Dragica Kov\u010dalija presented the topic <strong>&#8220;Application of Regulations on Standards and Norms for the Implementation of Adult Education Programs&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>During the last day of the symposium, participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences and gain new knowledge in workshops oe. The workshops were led by employees of the Agency for VET and Adult Education: Antonela \u0160imunovi\u0107, Vanja \u017di\u017ei\u0107, Ivan \u0160oki\u0107, Ana Kne\u017eevi\u0107, Klaudija Mustapi\u0107, Dragica Kov\u010dalija, Mateja Mandi\u0107, Dragana \u0160trkalj, Silvana Kotlar Dadi\u0107, and Vedrana \u0160imuni\u0107 Rod.<\/p>\n<p>We would like to thank all the speakers and
