{"id":394,"date":"2014-02-04T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2014-02-04T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.asoo.hr\/?p=390"},"modified":"2014-02-04T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2014-02-04T00:00:00","slug":"kick-off-meeting-for-et-2020-working-groups","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.asoo.hr\/en\/2014\/02\/04\/kick-off-meeting-for-et-2020-working-groups\/","title":{"rendered":"Kick-off meeting for ET 2020 Working Groups"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"nedate\"> \tThe first meeting of the new <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/education\/policy\/strategic-framework\/expert-groups_en.htm\">Education and Training 2020 Working Groups<\/a> took place in Brussels on 22-23 February 2016. Working Groups develop exchanges of information and experience on issues common to the education and training systems of the Member States.<\/div>\n<div class=\"euText euText_1\">\n<p> \t\tThey accelerate mutual learning and empower national policymakers with good practices. Focusing on the priority areas identified jointly by the Council and the Commission in the <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/education\/policy\/strategic-framework\/index_en.htm\">ET 2020 strategic framework<\/a>, the six Working Groups bring together more than 400 members. These include experts from the Member States, candidate and EFTA countries, European social partners, civil society, EU agencies and international organisations.<\/p>\n<p> \t\tThe six new ET 2020 Working Groups consist of:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li> \t\t\tWorking Group on schools<\/li>\n<li> \t\t\tWorking Group on the modernisation of higher education<\/li>\n<li> \t\t\tWorking Group on vocational education and training<\/li>\n<li> \t\t\tWorking Group on adult learning<\/li>\n<li> \t\t\tWorking Group on digital skills and competences<\/li>\n<li> \t\t\tWorking Group on Promoting citizenship and the common values of freedom, tolerance and non-discrimination through education (follow-up to the Paris Declaration)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p> \t\tThe kick-off in Brussels was the first time a common meeting was organised for all Working Groups. The opening session was followed by an interactive panel discussion with representatives from Member States and the Commission. The panel shared experiences from previous Working Groups and answered questions about the status of the Working Groups, their working methods and their role in EU policy-making.<\/p>\n<p> \t\tFollowing the joint plenary, each Working Group discussed how to best organise itself to achieve the outputs identified in its <a class=\"link-ico\" href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/education\/policy\/strategic-framework\/expert-groups\/2016-2018\/et-2020-group-mandates_en.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Link to PDF\"><span>mandate<\/span><\/a>, also identifying topics for webinars and peer-learning activities until June 2018.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The first meeting of the new Education and Training 2020 Working Groups took place in Brussels on 22-23 February 2016.
