The program, under the full title \u201ce-Schools: Complete informatization of school business processes and teaching processes for the purpose of creating digitally mature schools for the 21<\/strong>st<\/sup><\/strong>\u00a0century<\/strong>\u201c, began in March 2015 with a pilot project in which 151 Croatian schools participated. The pilot project \u201ce-Schools: Establishment of a system for the development of digitally mature schools\u201d was implemented until the end of August 2018. The main result of the pilot project was an increase in the level of digital maturity in 10 percent of Croatian primary and secondary schools.<\/p>\n

Based on the experiences and results of the pilots, in September 2018 CARNET started the implementation of the second phase of the program\u00a0\u201ce-Schools: Development of a system of digitally mature schools (Phase II)\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0worth HRK 1.3 billion. Following the decision of the Ministry of Science and Education, by 31 December 2022, the teaching and business processes in all schools in the Republic of Croatia financed from the state budget, have been digitally transformed.<\/p>\n

The general objective of the e-School program contributed to strengthening the capacity of the primary and secondary education system with the aim of training students for the labour market, further education and lifelong learning.<\/p>\n
