Handbook for development of VET occupational standards, qualifications and curricula

Handbook for development of VET occupational standards, qualifications and curricula is a part of larger Handbook for planning and development of VET qualifications whose purpose is to provide the reader with detailed description and thorough introduction into process that starts with planning of VET qualifications, and ends with creation of occupational standards, standards of qualifications and curricula, including resources and tools for supporting creation of new qualifications .

Document is divided into several separate handbooks according to type of target group, depending on manner in which the target group participates in the process of development of VET qualifications. Content of Handbook meets the demands of four key groups:
› Members of Sector Councils;
› Representatives of employers who participate in the development of VET qualifications;
› Vocational teachers and educational experts who are involved in development and implementation of VET qualifications;
› Employees of the Ministry in charge of education, AVETAE and other agencies and institutions in the education sector.

Handbook for development of VET occupational standards, qualifications and curricula continues on Methodology for development of VET occupational standards, standards of qualification and curricula. It contains detailed instructions on how to analyze occupations in order to attain information necessary for development of content of new qualification, and how to expand these information for development of educational program that will be implemented i vocational school.

Document is aimed at persons who will be directly linked with development of occupational standards, standards of qualification and curricula, from the earliest stages until the final product – curriculum – which is ready to be implemented in vocational school or some other educational institution.
